WWE’s The New Day Entertains Until The End

Plus, Manchester City is no longer England's Crown Jewel

Week 13 tunnel fits were on another level, including Mack Hollins showing up barefoot in the snow?!? But Jalen Hurts takes the cake with this immaculate suit.

The W is opening up so many doors in unconventional ways. Like a blogger who became a Mystics assistant coach and head coach for Unrivaled.

AND1 is making a comeback, and it’s shifting into college basketball. Wilberforce University will be the first HBCU to receive an AND1 sponsorship.

Senna is a hit on Netflix, but the low-key star of the show? The watches. The attention to detail by TAG Heuer makes you appreciate the series, and one of the greatest F1 drivers ever, even more.

Mexican soccer received a much-needed boost from…the NFL? The NFL made a massive investment in Liga MX, the most-watched soccer league in America. Maybe we’ll see more NFL games in Mexico?

WWE fans are heartbroken that The New Day is coming to an end. It’s a bittersweet end as Big E, Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods receive their flowers for bringing the timeline into the ring and helping the WWE reach new audiences.

The New Day started out of desperation 10 years ago as all three were on the verge of being fired. It took some time, but the group went from an afterthought to a global phenomenon during the last decade because of their ability to fill us – and each other – with laughter.

They made timeless segments out of viral moments, like when Kofi wore Steph Curry’s geriatric shoes. Big E did an entire rendition of Braveheart’s freedom speech in Scotland. Xavier Woods took his love for Dragon Ball Z to create an iconic Wrestlemania 32 entrance.

The New Day has always been full of surprises, and it saved its biggest swerve for its 10-year celebration.

The group’s future has been in doubt since Big E’s unfortunate neck injury. Monday Night Raw’s celebration-turned-tragedy was an emotional conclusion to a group that changed sports entertainment forever. They won titles. They won over the wrestling world. And kept us on our toes until the end.

Enjoy

Manchester City winning the Premier League has been inevitable. Until this year.  If this is the end of City’s era, Pep Guardiola is going down guns blazing with some classic memes.

Pep’s most recent response to the haters was MJ-esque. A reminder to Liverpool fans who ran the Premier League for the last decade.

Except MJ and the Bulls had the final laugh. What’s happening with City’s meltdown would be like MJ and Phil Jackson sticking around after Chicago’s sixth title, then falling off a cliff the following season. Every Knicks, Pacers and Jazz fan would’ve taunted the Bulls to no end.

That’s exactly what every Premier League fan is doing with City, who went from soccer royalty to this season’s punching bag. Throw in City’s financial scandal and there’s no telling how far the world’s most inimitable dynasty can fall.

Through the highs and lows, Pep remains the central figure. He built this like Franklin, brick-by-brick, to help soccer culture expand globally in unimaginable ways.  But if he goes down, he’s going down trolling.
