…Wants in on sports. From Vanity Fair to Politico to New York Magazine. Everyone’s releasing sports covers. And honestly, I don’t want to say “I told you so,” (yes I do), but it’s interesting that it took this long. Sports are everything! Doi! Front Office Sports agrees

It seems like most reboots struggle to really connect the way the original did. Whether it’s a live action Disney movie or low-rise jeans, the second time around always seems to falter under the harsher microscope. Except when it comes to Backyard Sports. Joon Lee flew to Pittsburgh to figure out how the video game company nailed their revival

This World Cup will be remembered for a lot of reasons. Norway’s row, Scottish people finding a new home in Boston, Mexico’s celebrations, and more. But in America, we’ll also remember it as the Telemundo World Cup — the Spanish-language broadcast network that won out in a big way, thanks to no hydration breaks, and a rowdy on-air crew. Defector’s Diana Moskowitz details it all here.

Everyone wants LeBron on their team. Luke Kornet begged him via clickbait voice note, Draymond is applying a full-court press, and I’m asking him really really really really really nicely to go to the Blazers (I know, but imagine…). He’s expected to make a decision this week.

You’ve no doubt been watching the World Cup commercials and thinking “yikes or “they killed that.” We all have. Everyone say thank you to Jaskaran of “The Social Juice”  who charted (and ranked) the best campaigns on a scale of “based” to “cringe” so you didn’t have to.

Forward this to someone who used to read Choose Your Own Adventure books.

We're going to do the newsletter a little differently today. You remember "Choose Your Own Adventure," where you’re cast in the starring role and make a bunch of fun decisions that shape the plot of the story? What, you don't? Ok first thing’s first, let’s open a book, mama! Then, follow along. You'll get the gist easily enough.

You’re the biggest sports fan in the world, and you were looking to spend your weekend consuming as much sports content as possible. You see the WNBA is headed to Montreal, and you decide to catch the Toronto Tempo’s games there.

You were seated for the Tempo vs. Wings game on Friday, and you had a ball.

You can either:

  1. Stick around town for the Tempo vs. Liberty game, where Betnijah Laney-Hamilton (accidentally??) hit Marina Mabrey with a shoe, or…

  2. Head to NBA Summer League in Las Vegas.

Next…

  1. Oh no, you stayed in Montreal too long, and you didn’t request enough PTO. You lost your job (womp womp). Apply for this job with the Los Angeles Sparks, and get ready to #TankforJuJuWatkins

From here…

  1. Since you’re now jobless, you might as well go to London. You missed the big Mejuri x OffBall party for the Women’s Final at Wimbledon (and the free jewelry giveaways), but you can still catch Jannik Sinner’s B2B win.

  1. The party doesn't end in Sin City for you, because you’re going to Miami where you’ll watch Jude Bellingham defeat his bestie Erling Haaland

Boy, has it been a busy weekend. Even the biggest sports fan must be exhausted. Time to take a load off.

  1. Unwind by watching reruns of “The Mentalist.”

  2. Get in your comfies and watch “Ted Lasso.

Fall into a deep sleep and get some much needed rest, you’ll need your energy for this week’s World Cup games

It’s not a huge surprise that the PGA has been dubbed “the no fun police” by the creative minds behind golf streetwear brand “Malbon.” But something that might surprise you is that the LPGA (Ladies Professional Golf Association), Stephen Malbon says, encourages women to dress authentically to who they are.

With Ina Kim Schaad’s signature lewks, cool girl Yana Wilson signing with Lululemon, Nelly Korda’s press tour featuring some major serves — it’s obvious women' s golf is on the precipice of a style revolution.

But, they’ve also got to be careful that they don’t just follow another league’s lead for the sake of it. Because golf is a little different, says Katie McInerey of “The Fixture”. One thing they can do, is integrate content with the PGA a bit more, she says.

Malbon’s making sure to storytell around women’s golf, too. This spot featuring Minjee Lee, Charley Hull and Nataliya Guesva as Freddy’s Angels is meeting the moment perfectly.
