The performance running shoe has become cool again. Call it “dadcore,” call it “function over form,” the humble running shoe has featured more collabs this year than a Drake album.

Dadcore. Tenniscore. Normcore. Allow us to introduce you to blokecore. From Arsenal’s takeover of London Fashion Week to club kits that are runway-ready, the blokes, lads, and hooligans are now a high fashion flex.

Jordan Chiles’ bronze medal appeal is back in the news thanks to a second-by-second breakdown of footage shot for Simone Biles’ upcoming documentary. It’s better than any episode of CSI we’ve ever seen.

Turns out NASCAR drivers are just as nervous to nail their marriage proposals as the rest of us. Hearts, like cars, can flutter at 200 mph.

Nike is back in the news. CEO John Donohoe is stepping down. The Swoosh has coaxed Nike veteran Elliott Hall out of retirement. First order of business—win back the sneakerheads.

The top tier of Germany’s soccer pyramid, the Bundesliga, is looking to expand its global foothold, partnering with media group Relevant Sports to help grow its following in North and South America. Relevant has already supported the growth of La Liga in the States.

While the Premier League currently holds the most American attention among the top European leagues, the Bundesliga has the star power and cultural impact to make a bigger splash.

Let’s start with the talent. It’s loaded. Harry Kane departed Tottenham to join Bayern Munich and has continued to be a goal-scoring machine. Florian Wirtz and Michael Olise both put massive exclamation points on their UCL debuts earlier this week, and Jamal Musiala is already crushing Sports Illustrated photoshoots.

You want bitter rivalries? You got it. Der Klassiker, the ongoing battles between Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund, who have won 26 of the past 31 league titles between them, is as fierce as any you will find in Europe.

Dortmund’s stoppage time equalizer against Bayern this season was #incredible 🍿#bundesliga #football #dortmund #bvb #bayern

On match day, the Yellow Wall of Dortmund’s Westfalenstadion, will leave you, and the rest of the stadium, shaking. Want to see it in full force? The next Der Klassiker is set for November 30.

@livescore

The Yellow Wall is quite literally 𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐠 ahead of kick off 💛🖤 #dortmund #psg #championsleague #fyp #foryou

If the Yellow Wall looks familiar, it was an inspiration for The Wall at the Los Angeles Clippers’ new home, the Intuit Dome. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

And the fan swag is phenomenal—where else can you find a kit crossover with Oktoberfest? Someone pour us a lager.

It’s a tale as old as time, or at least, social media—musicians want to be athletes, and athletes want to be musicians. In women’s sports, and the women’s rap game, the love runs both ways. Remember Angel Reese surprising Megan Thee Stallion onstage at Lollapalooza?

Reese’s connections don’t stop there. She’s already teasing an upcoming interview with Latto on her show “Unapologetically Angel.”

Reese’s college teammate, Flau’jae Johnson, might be the ultimate crossover athlete.  She’s already dropped a track with Lil Wayne earlier this summer. She has one more year at LSU, but she’s set to pull in not one but two professional paychecks.
