Timothée Chalamet Is Gen Z’s Adam Sandler

Plus, The W Served Tunnel Fits All Year Long

…Even with winter break, these ladies—with or without Livvy Dunne—will draw a crowd. They’ve already sold 8,680 season tickets and will be backflipping into our timelines all 2025.

It’s a sports-filled Christmas! Where else can you find two incredible NFL games, a Beyoncé halftime show and Mariah Carey singing the greatest Christmas song of all time? And oh yeah, Mickey, Minnie, KAT, and Wemby too.

The Air Jordan 1 officially turned 40. Nike relives how a banned shoe changed the sneaker industry as part of its 40th anniversary series.

Shedeur Sanders is heading to the League, but will he stop by the booth first? He’s found a hit with “Perfect Timing” and the fans want the album to drop now.

Tennis might have found its new Anna Kournikova. With a supermodel's elegance, the unmissable Anna Kalinskaya is knocking on the door of tennis stardom.

Ever since that magical guest picker appearance on College Gameday, Timothée Chalamaet has been the celebrity darling of sports culture. But football isn’t his true love. His real passion is basketball, following in the footsteps of his pickup partner Adam Sandler.

This Knicks-crazed obsession dates back to 2010 when he was chasing Amar’e Stoudemire for autographs and winning Twitter contests with Landry Fields. Chalamet was delusional enough to think LeBron was joining the team, and locked in season tickets in advance.

It shouldn’t come as a surprise that Chalamet has taken part in Sandler’s infamous pickup games as just two chill New Yorkers who love ball. We’d love to see him more in the sports media space. Maybe the start of the Bob Dylan biopic can make a cameo on Bill Simmons, or play Ernie Johnson in his dream gig.

But don’t get it twisted, Sandler is still the top dog in this niche Hollywood sports culture lane. We’re going to need Chalamet to top Sandler’s infamous pickup games before we hand over the crown.

The WNBA threw plenty of W’s in 2024 – record viewership, historic attendance, and more fashionable athletes than ever before. These ladies didn’t need a Fashion Week catwalk to shut down the timeline. They did it every game.

The stakes were higher, and A’ja Wilson elevated her game in more ways than one. She completely transformed from a Southern belle to a hot tamale with her jaw-dropping dresses that caught our attention (and Bam Adebayo) this year.

The WNBA Draft changed the sport forever, and the high-end luxury brands went all-out. Caitlin Clark was the first basketball player of any gender to be outfitted head-to-toe in Prada. Angel Reese turned heads with her backless dress and hasn’t stopped serving looks since. Cameron Brink is nasty on the court and gorgeous off it. Even at her college graduation, Brink’s outfits are the center of attention. But none of them went as hard as Nika Mühl, who might have been the best-dressed rookie.

The stylists behind the athletes deserve some love too, as they were the real MVPs of this new phenomenon. From the chic looks to the masculine-of-center women, people like Amadi B Styling are redefining how women dress, with the wide range of models to work with in the W.
