Russ, Stefon, Pharrell And More Take Paris Fashion Week

Plus, Wimbledon’s Just Gettin’ Started

…that was a euphemism, and yeah, it was ridiculous. Sports romance novels are all the rage right now, from hockey to football to basketball. And now F1.

There’s been an invisible string between Oasis and soccer (ok, we’ll call it football in this case) football since the English band’s inception. It’s even been the root of some of Noel and Liam’s world-famous brotherly fights. Here’s a complete history of Oasis’ love of football.

Yankees and Seinfeld fans seem to make up one circle in the venn diagram of interests. So a George Costanza napping bobblehead only makes sense. Get yours August 21st at Seinfeld night at Yankee Stadium.

The Wings are reupping on their partnership with haircare brand Hairitage. The partnership will highlight Maddy Siegrist and Dijonai Carrington through original content to shout out the beauty that lies in all different hair types.

MTV Cribs? No, MLB Cribs. Get full Cribs-style tours all baseball season long, starting with the White Sox bullpen.

Forward this to someone with tickets to Oasis’ tour.

This week’s creator puts the hyp(e) in multi-hyphenate. Jared McCain’s always been more than an athlete, and like so many of our Gen Z  faves these days, he got his start on TikTok. Kinda. Technically he started on the court, but that only makes him more original. How many pro-hooper slash creators do you know? Exactly.

@nba

Kyle Lowry was not in the mood 😂 #NBA #NBAFinals #NBAPlayoffs #JaredMcCain

With 4.8 million followers on TikTok alone (and another 1.9 million on IG), he’s many other people’s faves, too—with good reason. If you looked up “get you a man who could do both” in the dictionary, he would be there. And then you’d probably think, why is that in the dictionary?

He’s doing basketball and content—and basketball content. Not only is he a correspondent for NBA-related events like finals and draft, he’s lip syncing some of the greatest hits of our lifetime, and he helped the “LeBron James” song craze take off. He terrorizes his teammates (namely Kyle Lowry) with TikTok trends.  And he’s perfectly comfortable showing love for Clairo or singing Fergie. Or dance like no one’s watching (lots of people are). And how about a little commotion for his fits? And, of course, we’d be remiss not to mention his best friend Nate, who is a key player in many of his greatest hits

Jared McCain is creating one of a kind content, but he’s also a movement. He’s challenging everyone’s perception of what a basketball player and a professional athlete is “supposed to be. And he’s doing it with the most gigantic smile on his face. He’s 1 of 1. He is joy personified. Can you tell we’re big fans?

In case you missed Paris Fashion Week, it was basically just like if the Super Bowl, NBA Finals and the Premier League Final had a baby and he grew up and opted to pursue his dreams of going to Parsons instead of taking after dear old dad. At this point, it feels like you can’t have sports without fashion, and vice versa.

First and foremost, Russ ruled the rues (that means streets, which we could have said, but you know, alliteration). Not only did he make his PFW runway debut for Feng Chen Wang (BREAKING: the man can really rock a cardigan), he welcomed the public (and fellow fashion killer Jerami Grant) into Honor The Gift’s showroom (a collab with Japanese cafe No Free Coffee).

Pharrell Williams and Louis Vuitton ruled the headlines, and OffBall correspondent Daniel-Yaw Miller was on the scene to tell the tale. LV-head Wemby was there, Jules Koundé made an appearance. Plus, Dele Alli and Amadou Onana were there. And Jalen Ramsey gave GQ a GRWM for the ages.

And for the quicker hits: we went Wales (Bonner) watching and spotted Myles Lewis-Skelly walking in their show. Stefon Diggs walked for Willy Chavarria in a jacket we have now decided we can’t live without. James Harden did, too. And Jerami Grant declared it a white tank summer, which doesn’t seem revolutionary, but the way he does it is.

Wimbledon is here, and we’re hoping it brings the juice like Roland Garros did. Who knows if we’ll get a five-hour Alcaraz-Sinner rematch, but what we do know, is the fits will be serving, and brands are gonna be fighting for every point. Advantage: Adidas, maybe?

Tennis is the talk of the town these days. You’ve got at least three friends talking about the long waitlists at their community center courts. It’s having a cultural moment.

Perhaps that’s due to the personalities and storylines at the top of the world rankings. Coco, Carlos, and Emma Raducanu are making it cooler than ever. Actually, maybe not ever, considering the fits of past attendees, which were also very cool, but we digress. But the stars of Wimbledon are some of the best follows on social

Also cool? Forgiveness
