Pudge The Cat Left Me On Read
Plus, Jaylen Brown Addresses Those Rumors

…And addressed them live on Twitch—by shaving his head. Because, as he said, he isn’t going to Türkiye. Kind of a baller move, if you ask me!
Cade Cunningham believes he’s built for any moment. Whether it’s playing (read: flexing) in front of Carmelo Anthony at MSG or anything else. Cade’s primed for his biggest year yet.
There are lots of unwritten rules to learn when you become a sports fan, like: Are you allowed to use “we” (royal or peasant-wise) when referring to your teams? How long until you are considered a real fan? These questions and others are answered by writer Sam Scott, here.
Anyone else kinda tired (I could probably stop there…) of the sports documentary boom? Not that they aren’t great quality works featuring fun insights on our favorite players, but there are so many, it’s hard to know which to devote your time to. Here’s how the industry hopes to change that. Now go take a nap.
Do we have any Brad Paisley heads in the chat? No? Maybe that’s because he’s cursed. No offense, of course, but he’s performed the national anthem for four World Series games and all four went to extra innings. Two of them went to 18. What is the universe trying to tell us?
Forward this to a feline fanatic.

Cats get everything. Their own musical, your tongue, out of the bag, you name it. Now, they even have their own day. I’m not complaining, I love any excuse to see pet owners post photos and videos of their favorite little (gender neutral) guys being total freaks (positive). Bonus points when the aforementioned owners are our beloved sports heroes.
I had big plans to “chat” with Pudge, the Bowling Green Football locker room cat, but he left me on read, so here’s a roundup of sporty cats.
Like Myles Turner, who proudly believes cats will change your life. He’s such a cat dad, he’s getting cat brand deals.
Meanwhile Jordan Poole’s about the joys of cat dadhood by forming a secret society of cat dads, and his first pledge was Steph Curry.
Gabby Williams’s chat travels with her between America and her home country of France.
Crystal Dunn has human kids, cat kids, and even chicken kids. But today isn’t about humans or fowl, so here’s a pic of her cat.
It must be something in the water making Olympic swimmers like Regan Smith and Summer Mcintosh so obsessive about their little guys.
And for some reason, it’s always the hardest guys with the softest spots for cats. Donovan Jackson’s cat, Leonardo DeCatio, made an appearance on draft night. Jamaal Williams says you’re a bad person if you don’t like them. Whatever you say, strong fast guy! Although, for your public image, I’d recommend putting it more delicat-ly.
Special shout out to Villanova, University of Arizona, Sir Purr, The Minnesota Lynx, the Nuggets mascot that passed out that one time, that scary Penn State Lion, and all the other real cats out there.

We’re 100ish days out from the Milan Cortina 2026 Olympic Winter Games, and this is your official warning: I will be making the Olympics my entire personality. So, when I visited the Team USA Media Summit, I prepared accordingly.
@teamusa On this team, just one of us can do it for all of U.S. 🇺🇸 #OneForAll
The festivities have already started in NYC, where Brittany Bowe, Alex Ferreira and others lit the Empire State Building yesterday. And where I spent my morning, listening to Lindsey Vonn, Nick Goepper, Alex Hall, and Caroline Harvey talk to the media about this last push before the games.
A lot of the conversation was heavily “on ball” as we at OffBall say. Lotta talk about the slopes and the boots and knee replacements (Vonn said yes, her knee hurts a lot, but “60 seconds in a lifetime is nothing;” a legend.)
But freestyle skier (slash Dallas Cowboy Cheerleader) Jaelin Kauf’s main message was about delivering the love—a mantra she lives by day in and day out. She’s winning a gold in freestyle sweetie-ing.
Reporters couldn’t stop asking hockey player Caroline Harvey about the rivalry with Team Canada, which she admitted can get pretty intense. Also, the Wisconsin student has a test tomorrow. She’ll take the gold in multitasking.
Nick Goepper was kind of the mayor of the whole operation. Or perhaps the movie star is the better way to put it. He’s got pizazz, he can make almost anything interesting. With 152k Instagram followers, It’s not as if I discovered him, but he’s getting on the podium as the personality to watch.
Anyways, see you in 100 days! Maybe in Milan?? You’re paying??
