Plus, Lindsey Vonn Is In Her Comeback Era

…This man is meant to be on a Vogue cover. He’s the latest young talent looking to take over the sport at this year’s Australian Open, but he’s not aiming to be the next Andy Murray.
Detroit got a nice week off as the top seed in the NFC, while the Lions’ WAGs are the Midwest Princesses along for the ride. They are crushing the content game this season.
The City of Brotherly Love is putting all its hope in The Process. Philly moves as Joel Embiid goes, and they’re hoping for another jolt this season.
Art rugs have swept through the NFL’s biggest stars. From Lamar Jackson to C.J. Stroud, these custom rugs are becoming a hot commodity in the league.
The jury is still out on the TGL. This fun, innovative golf league is truly reimagining what’s possible in this sport. You know who could make this experiment better? Bryson DeChambeau.

The LA fires have been devastating. There’s no way around it, and it has unfortunately impacted the sports community. But in these moments of tragedy, the sports world can truly display incredible acts of kindness and humanity. And you can help, too.
Tributes have been pouring in from the NBA community as JJ Redick and Steve Kerr, unfortunately, lost homes in the fire. It inspired Marc Stein to write a heartfelt love letter to LA, while Holly Rowe is opening up her home to displaced families.
If you are displaced due to LA fires, we all want to help. I have room for 8 people in Salt Lake City. It’s a 9 hour drive. I can pay for gas or flights. We all feel helpless and want to do something. Please reach out. Will help if I can.

The rallying cry is LA Strong, and a new Fanatics collection with Southern California sports teams will donate all the proceeds to the American Red Cross and the LA Fire Department Foundation.
Fanatics has teamed up with its sports partners in Los Angeles to launch a new “LA Strong” collection.
No one involved (Fanatics, leagues, teams) will profit, instead deciding to donate all the money to the American Red Cross and LA Fire Department Foundation.
That’s awesome.

The LAFD, and other first responders from around the world, have worked around the clock to control all of these fires. In classic social media fashion, there was joy found in the Steph Curry pinpoint accuracy of the aerial water drops during the local media coverage. They’re receiving their own Top 10 highlight package, and the rare Mike Breen double bang.

Has Lindsey Vonn been drinking teenage blood like that one CEO? Let’s not rule it out. Just kidding, of course, but it is truly a wonder how she was able to come out of retirement after having skied with almost debilitating knee pain since she tore her ACL in 2013.
This past weekend, the skiing legend competed in her first race in six years and made her country and city proud after finishing 6th in her downhill race and 4th in her super-G race. Vonn became the oldest woman to finish in the top four in a World Cup event at 40.
In 2019, Vonn hung up her poles shortly after becoming one of six women in the world to have won World Cup races in all of the alpine skiing disciplines, but she’s back — and still competitive.
In 2024, she had a knee replacement surgery wherein part of her bone was replaced with titanium. Now, she’s encouraging everyone (ok, not everyone, but definitely skiers who are experiencing intense knee pain) to consider the same surgery.
Personally, if we’re in that position, we’re listening to anything the 82-time World Cup winner tells us. Word of advice, though, if you do end up getting titanium implanted into your body, give yourself a couple of extra minutes at the airport.
