Jimmy Butler Will Always Be Heat Culture
Plus, Volleyball Is All Grown Up
…Just think about all the new leagues and expansion teams popping up right now. They’re all looking for the right name that won’t get mocked on social media.
The South Beach soccer scene could get another global star. As if Messi and Luis Suárez weren’t enough, Neymar wants an “MSN” reunion at Inter Miami.
Fashion icon Jonathan Anderson isn’t a tennis fan, but he definitely reinvented tenniscore. The memorable outfits from “Challengers” have provided a fresh twist on a classic style.
Fortune favors the public. NFL fans cashed in on a historic season for betting favorites, taking about $370 million from FanDuel this season.
Kendall Jenner is finding her way in the sportscore movement. Her new campaign with Adanola is giving 80s and 90s vibes with the versatile athleisurewear.
As we approach the end of the Jimmy Butler South Beach Experience, we wanted to look back at the era that didn’t come with an NBA title, but revitalized Butler’s career and persona.
He kept us entertained during lockdown with his dazzling NBA bubble performances, birthing his Big Face Coffee brand into a luxurious cultural experience and eventually a brick-and-mortar coffee shop. Who could forget the memorable Media Day photos, from the fake dreadlocks to serving a full gothic look?
At the 2023 NBA Media Day, Jimmy Butler became...Emo Jimmy. This is his story.

The only thing being served now is beef. The drama between Butler and Pat Riley has devolved to the point of no return, even dragging Shams and his credibility into this messy situation. Where Butler lands next remains to be seen, and he’s definitely making sure he has a say in his future. Wherever he lands, it simply won’t be the same.

Volleyball is all grown up. The most popular women’s sport in the country is finally getting its own professional league. League One Volleyball is seeking to change the entire dynamic of women’s volleyball.
This would be like if AAU basketball created its own professional league if the NBA didn’t exist. LOVB will be the place to be for one of the biggest sports in America, creating a holistic program to take women’s volleyball from the club to the professional level.
All the A-listers and financiers are betting on this league to take off, raising $100 million with some familiar names – Kevin Durant, Jayson Tatum, Candace Parker, and Lindsey Vonn – all investing in the six-team league.
LOVB is taking a different approach with its apparel. It chose to partner with Revolve, a beloved platform for Millennials and Gen-Z, to serve as its official online fashion retail partner. And it’s going to air 18 matches on ESPN and ESPN+ to provide much-needed exposure in its first year.
The league is hoping to cash in on how much college volleyball has blown up over the years. Some of the most watched and highest-attended college volleyball matches happened over the last year. Hopefully, this rubs off on the LOVB and its respective cities – Atlanta, Austin, Houston, Madison, Omaha, and Salt Lake City.
