…But Aaron Rodgers went on Cam Heyward’s “Not Just Football” podcast, and it was kind of a content goldmine. Not only did the Steelers’ quarterback tell the story about how he proposed to former fiancée Shailene Woodley before she left him days later to sleep with someone else, he also went in on ex-girlfriend Danica Patrick. There were loads of other topics discussed as well, but I will let you do your own research. It’s what Aaron would want!

The official trailer for the Kim Kardashian-EP’d reality show “Baseball Moms” is out, and public opinion seems to be… it’s kind of a scary world out there. Surely the series will act as a cautionary tale and not empower and facilitate more unhinged parental behavior in youth sports, right? Right???

The Hollywood Reporter put out a sports issue this week, and I want to make sure you don’t miss it. It’s one of my favorite formats: athletes and actors interviewing each other. Jaylen Brown and Mahershala Ali, Belmont Cameli and Macklin Celebrini. It also explains how padel kicks pickleball’s butt, and a look at Coco Gauff’s doc dreams. Breathe it all in here

Howard Beck looks to answer the question of whether there is an NBA owner problem in his latest Ringer piece. It’s mostly an existential question that we’ll never really have an answer (or a solve) for, but it is fun to read about.

Minor update on our quest for world peace: I wrote earlier this week about how Caitlin and Angel are becoming besties (or at least we’re manifesting it) and things are progressing for the best. In their game on Thursday morning, which was at 5:30 a,m. EST, the two besties (still manifesting here) were joking on the bench together. Their on-court chemistry is unmatched and their drive-by dap game is strong. We’re T-2 days away from a dancing TikTok. I can feel it.

New York Fashion Week is equal parts chaos and excitement. And with each new NYFW that comes, we see more and more sports brands permeate the fashion world. This September has been no exception.

On Wednesday, women’s sportswear and merch brand Terez had a show in Chelsea. Thanks to Lyft, Uber, and New York taxis, I was unfashionably late and couldn't disrupt the show by walking in tardy (I will be suing all of them for emotional damages, don’t worry). Thankfully, since this is the 21st century, I got to watch it on IG live, and the looks were perfect. Plus, New York WAGs like Ali Brunson and Katia Lindor walked in it.  Founder Zara Tisch knows what the heck she’s doin’, if you ask me.

Then there was the Nike Worn With Obsession show, where the brand debuted the new “Specter” unis for eight teams (the reviews have been mixed) and the NBA Standard Issue Collection (featuring Ace Bailey on the catwalk). For those keeping track, I was supposed to be at this, too, but I got sick! The universe does not want to see me shine.

Yesterday, I finally made it to a presentation. Which is great, because I would have sued all of you if I missed a third one. The new MLB/Born x Raised capsule collection presentation featured BMX bike riders doing tricks around a baseball field in Harlem, a performance by Jada Kiss, and a claw machine where you could (I did) win MLB The Show. It was a really unique and fun event, and I highly recommend more people do random events on baseball fields.

Ponder whether or not you could have been much more famous and beloved at work.

Athletes, submit original bars to Aloe Blacc to be a part of the next big sports anthem
