Is Lane Kiffin Teasing LSU and Florida, Or Is It Real

If you haven’t been following the Lane Kiffin saga, there’s a lot I need to fill you in on. I’m going to write this at rapid-fire pace, and you have to read this as fast as you can, because again, there’s a lot, and time is money. 

Ok, first things first: Lane Kiffin is over there in Oxford, having a great year. Meanwhile, LSU and Florida fire their coaches; they (and many others, tbh) need someone to fill their $53 million shoes. 

What’s that? A bird? A plane? Yes, it’s a plane, with Lane Kiffin and his entire family…on its way to Gainesville, Florida (!?) and also Baton Rouge, Louisiana (!?). Two college towns with schools looking to hire a head coach (?!). Now why would he be doing that…

Reports say Lane was given an ultimatum from Ole Miss (which wouldn’t be very smart of them), but Lane goes on The Pat McAfee Show and says that’s false! False, he tells you! And sadly, each fanbase fell further in love with him. 

But considering Lane’s daughter is dating LSU’s Whit Weeks, Lane Kiffin’s PR appearance doesn’t do enough to quell conspiracy theories.

While all of this is going down, Lane Kiffin is posting like a maniac. He knows we’re refreshing his profile. He knows we’re all desperate for something to distract us from our own bored, sad little lives (no offense to us).

I know how LSU fans are feeling right now because I know some of them, and they are generally unwell (which I mean in an endearing way, of course). 

Meanwhile, Tennessee fans, hardened by the cold coaching carousel and Lane himself, are watching the world burn. And Virginia Tech made its hire. And there is a sixth Pop-Tart Mascot. 

Ok, now that you read that all in 35 seconds and barely took a breath, go get some stuff done.  

No Uncut Gems, but learning how much these athlete jewelry pieces cost is stressing me out. 

Content creator Jack Savoie has been doing some serious reporting on athlete ice. It appears Jack is a big Justin Jefferson guy (or maybe JJ just has the most impressive collection). One necklace stack is $2.5M. So I really can’t begin to fathom what this pendant and chain cost. 

CeeDee Lamb’s Cartier and Hermes bangles, in which he plays American football (the one where you’re getting hit left and right), set him back about $116,000. 

Aaron Judge’s diamond gavel necklace (hilarious), is over 12 carats, has custom engravings and costs about $20,000. 

And when it comes to tennis necklaces, Jack isn’t surprised to learn Yoshinobu Yamamoto’s tennis necklace is Dodger blue.
