Feeling Blue? Michael B. Jordan And A NAKED Collab Are The Cure For You
Plus, We Talk With Team USA’s Haley Winn’s Brother

…We’re onto broccoli…I guess. If you haven’t heard, broccoli shots are the new key to wellness and success for premier endurance athletes. Great, now no kids are gonna want to be athletes.
They’re artists of the atelier, and athletes are their magnum opera. These stylists are the reason you’re double-tapping athlete tunnel fits. Also, many of them are friends of OffBall, and we love them.
Have your kids been messing with Caitlin Clark? Careful, she’s a gateway drug to much more dangerous substances…like other women. At least that’s what this ESPN exec says. She meant it as a compliment, by the way. You heard it here first!
The Big 12 men’s and women’s tourneys will be played on a glass LED court. This is the first time the technology will be used in this manner. It means we’re either getting some legendary set design-y optical illusions or a record number of ads. Or a secret third option: hacked.
The….magic (?) behind the 6-7 meme still has not died, according to White Sox’s Duncan Davitt. And Angels’ Samy Natera. And Dodgers’ outfield Ryan Ward. How do they know? They all wear the number on their chest. And although fans, young and old alike, are excited, they may have some regrets.
Forward this to your depressed friend. It will help! I swear!

“Go Off” is a special edition of our daily newsletter, featuring my thoughts, takes, and general vibes, presented to OffBall readers every Wednesday.
Until we stop feeling like this, or this, I will be on a mission to use my special “Go Off” Wednesday editions to share things that make us feel like this:

You’ll either feel happy and proud or depressed and withered to know that Lewis Hamilton is racing in his 20th season this year. (Might I suggest the former, as I remind you that aging is a gift?)
You may have seen his teammate Charles Leclerc’s wedding photos by now, which are absolutely stunning, but did you notice the most important detail? Their dog, Leo Leclerc, stole the show.
Naomi Girma wrote an incredibly moving tribute to her best friend and Stanford soccer alum, Katie Meyer, who took her own life in 2022. “When you lose a true friend, the hardest part isn’t the big moments. It’s actually the small ones,” Girma wrote. May we all be lucky enough to have a friend like Katie Meyer. Text someone you love right now.
Michael B. Jordan beat his former Friday Night Lights co-star Jesse Plemons out for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor at the 2026 Actor Awards. Jesse obviously didn’t care, and neither did I, because we got this from it (also because Sinners is the movie of the year and MBJ killed it).
They named a moon after you. That’s called a zinger! And once again, you better have laughed.
The NBA is beefing again, and I am once again talking about how the NBA is beefing again. They will be wise to keep this up. At least until every scuffle is inevitably sponsored by Kalshi.
I have often said Stephen Curry doesn’t get enough credit for his acting chops, and I will say it again now. If you were wondering how to sell “concern” and “empathy” while your coworker pops off, here’s how. If that situation is not relatable, it’s still a funny tweet, and you better have laughed. Or else.
Unrivaled is an experience like no other, and watching it gives me at least a 25% boost in general happiness. That’s the case for these celebrities, too.
And if you’re looking to buy your way out of the saddies this year, I love this NAKED x Nike collab.

Team USA hockey player Haley Winn won the gold at this year’s games — a fact you undoubtedly know by now. It’s also likely that, as you were scrolling through the celebratory posts, you saw three men clad in bald eagle heads. And matching sweatsuits. Those three men are Casey, Tommy, and Ryan Winn. Haley’s very supportive brothers. And while their sister is in the pantheon of great Olympic teams, the Winn bro trio now belongs to the pantheon of legendarily viral fans. We talked to Ryan Winn about his whirlwind winter below.
OffBall: What’s the context behind the photo you posted of little Haley?
Ryan Winn: This was Haley’s yearbook picture when she was about to graduate from elementary school and they were prompted to put what they wanted to be when they got older. She shot for the stars and hit, haha.
OB: What was the best part about watching Haley win it all?
RW: The look in her eyes when it was over. Seeing the tears of joy. The genuine smile. Knowing that at the age of just 22, she accomplished a life’s dream, and she’s just getting started. Knowing that all of the pain and hard work she puts herself through was worth it. She’s the best in the world.
OB: Who was in charge of playing stylist and planning those outfits?
RW: Casey was in charge of getting things ordered once we finalized the looks we wanted to go with. Tommy had to pack mine in his bag because I am in Nashville while they are both in Rochester. We wanted to constantly keep the people guessing. Keep them on their toes. Hip-hop sweatsuits to a classy Peaky Blinders feel to redneck jorts. You never knew what was coming next.
OB: What makes the Olympics so special?
RW: Any time you can get your entire family together, it is special. To be able to get them all together in the context of watching one of them compete and win a gold medal is like a family reunion on steroids. One with heightened emotions and heightened amounts of love.
I have almost been in a depressed state after their finish. Not because of anything other than I miss my family again. Every time I see them and then leave, I miss them again. We all are off chasing our own aspirations, and any time you get to slow down and be present with one another, it is special.
OB: What’s something about your Olympics experience that people at home don’t know about?
RW: I probably averaged about four hours of sleep a night. We didn’t intend on things to go viral like they did. I own a production company at home, so I was doing work to keep up with that, and then instead of making one video per game like I thought we were, we ended up doing about 3-4 per game.
About half of our days were usually filled up with interview scheduling, and we had a bunch of companies reaching out on a paid basis. We said no to all of them because that was not the point of doing what we were doing. We were there to support Haley and the US Women's team in winning gold.
OB: Describe the vibe at a PWHL game.
RW: I have been to two PWHL games so far. I have now seen Haley’s first professional and Olympic goals live. The vibe is electric. Sold-out crowds constantly. It feels like a show. Their media coverage has been incredible, and the story development around some of these girls has been great. We are talking about a league that is already pumping at capacity, yet still, they have probably the highest potential out of any sports league in the world.
