Arsenal Is Hosting A Dating Show

Plus, Happy April Fools’ Day From The Sports World

…Where Gooners meet up and go to a game together. Arsenal fans who are single and looking are encouraged to apply by April 11 via the club’s website.

Zack Snyder is teaming up with Dana White and a Saudi Royal Adviser to write and direct a movie about UFC. No word yet on whether we’ll get a 4-hour Snyder cut, too.

In a time when most brands are collabing, these two are beefing. Crocs called out Nike’s ReactX Rejuven8 slides because they look similar to the Crocs Clogs.

The NFL is considering backers for their proposed flag football league. Both men’s and women’s leagues are on the table for the league that says it would help support but not operate the flag football org.

Despite not having designated tunnel fit coverage and needing 162 outfits for that many games, baseball wants in on the fashinisto convo. Players like Francisco Lindor, Shohei Ohtani, and Max Fried are proving baseballers can serve, too.

Don’t forget to forward this newsletter to your single Arsenal friends.

Tread lightly, because it’s April Fools’ Day, and every kooky sports headline you read may be fake. Of course, that’s not always true. Sometimes Luka really was traded.

Let’s take a look at some of the best April Fools’ moments in sports.

If you were reading Sports Illustrated in 1985, you may have read about Sidd Finch. If not, he was a fictitious player who signed with the Mets and who threw absolute heat—a 198-mile fastball. Also, check out the first letter of the subtitle for the secret clue.

In 2021, Michael Strahan got us good when he pretended he was getting his illustrious tooth gap filled. The video and two alleged oral surgery visits really sold it.

If you’re in the vicinity of twins today, it’s safe to assume they’re not who they say they are. Switching places is a classic April Fools’ Day move. Just ask Clemson LAX players Blaire and Regan Byrne

Anthony Davis wouldn’t be who he is without his unibrow, but there was an April Fools’ where we all thought that day had come. He pretended to shave it in 2020

Not everyone knows Tom Brady was drafted by the Montreal Expos. That’s not the April Fools’ joke. The lie was that he was bringing the Expos, who haven’t existed since 2004, back as an owner, making him the first player/coach/owner ever.

When NBA media needed him most, he reappeared. Zach Lowe is back, and this is not an April Fool’s joke.

Upon news of his confounding and unexpected firing by ESPN in September of 2024, the internet was left wondering what everyone’s favorite analyst might do next. And now we have our answer: he’s starting a podcast on The Ringer network, thanks to old friend and coworker (RIP Grantland) Bill Simmons.

Fans couldn’t be happier at the news—maybe because it came on the heels of so much tension and public fights with athletes from the likes of Stephen A. Smith, Kendrick Perkins, and their ilk.

In a time of hot takes, it seems everyone’s ready for some good old-fashioned X’s and O’s talk.

ZACH LOWE IS AT THE RINGER?????? LET’S FUCKING GOOOOOOOOOOOO

Zach Lowe to the Ringer! Good news for basketball

Waking up to find out Zach Lowe is back has already made this a great week!

Yesterday was a somber day for football fans as he departed the NFL Network show for ESPN after nine years—change is hard. Text us if you need a friend.
