Adrian Wojnarowski Has Scooped His Last Scoop
Plus, Sports Illustrated’s list of the industry’s movers and shakers.
The WNBA and Glossier are teaming up to launch three new shades of lip gloss ahead of the postseason. Just when you thought the W couldn’t get any more glam.
The retro rope hat is the new hot accessory on NFL sidelines. We’re not used to taking style cues from football coaches, but they might be onto something here.
The Reggie Bar, a confection of chocolate, peanuts, and caramel with the co-sign of Reggie Jackson, has been resurrected by a Canadian couple investing in nostalgic treats. Put us down for two boxes.
Frances Tiafoe is driving tennis’ fashion renaissance. Between his front row fashion week appearances, basketball-inspired style and apparent distaste for sleeves, there’s no one serving looks like Big Foe.
Bjorn Borg gave a rare interview ahead of his final year leading Team Europe at the Laver Cup, talking about his early retirement and what it’s like to watch his son chase a career in the pros. We think he could still pull off the headband if he wanted to.
"I would boo too if I had to be an Orlando Magic fan."
@TyHaliburton22 came with some backup in the form of some @Pacers teammates and then let the NXT crowd hear it! 😂

The NBA is often viewed in eras—Magic v. Bird, MJ, Kobe, LeBron and Curry have all defined their respective generations. In NBA media, there are only two eras: Before Woj, and After Woj. On Wednesday, Adrian Wojnarowski called it a career. He had officially defused the Woj Bomb.
Woj’s retirement won’t just be relaxing on the beach—he’s taking on the job of general manager of men’s basketball at his alma mater, St. Bonaventure. For most people, diving into the NIL world would be an increase of stress on the job. Woj is not most people.
Do you realize how stressful Woj’s job must have been that he considers “handling NIL and roster management for a college sports team” to be a relaxing step back

Woj’s mastery of scoopdom soared alongside basketball’s explosive commercial and cultural growth over the years. This is the man that let the world know that Kawhi was a Clipper, LeBron was a Laker, and the NBA was shutting down due to COVID. In Woj, the sport had a true insider who would deliver a scoop no matter the time or place—even if he was behind the wheel.
The history books will note that the last Woj bomb of his career was announcing Isaac Okoro’s deal with the Cavs. It is both fitting and ironic that a minor deal was the last news Woj broke, and Okoro was well aware of the honor.
Isaac Okoro is the last player in NBA history to get Woj Bomb’d 🤯💣

Woj’s departure leaves a hole in the market, but don’t expect it to be left open for long. Fellow scoopmaster Shams Charania, is a pending free agent and ESPN will undoubtedly make a run to sign him.
Charania and Woj have a rich history, as Shams was Woj’s protege at Yahoo! Sports and later his rival when Woj joined the worldwide leader. Has any other media rivalry ever merited its own Wikipedia entry? With Woj turning all four of his phones on airplane mode, Shams now stands alone.

Woj has earned every bit of his retirement. He’s simply the best to ever do it. Congratulations Woj, Chief Scoop Officer. Good luck with the Bonnies.
@esquiresports Simply one of the best to ever do it #NBA #woj #shams #schefter #basketball #espn #reporter #retirement #greenscreen
What was your favorite Woj bomb? Did he change your plans for the day by breaking news? Let us know at [email protected]—we’d love to hear your stories. In the meantime, we made our own list to send Woj off in style.
Imagine if the most interesting section of TIME’s Influential People list was the whole thing. Sports Illustrated did just that and their conclusions are pretty solid.
The women’s sports boom was well represented. Legends like Dawn Staley and A’ja Wilson were honored alongside freshly minted stars like Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese, as well as the star-studded Angel City FC ownership group.
Power Couples got their own list—don’t worry, it’s longer than just Travis and Taylor. We see you Swansons!!!
SI’s rising stars might be the most interesting, with soon-to-be Duke star Cooper Flagg and Barcelona teen sensation Lamine Yamal leading the charge.
I caught Woj in the act of Woj Bombing, and I believe that this is art 😊🏀
